It's not common to think of famous pro wrestler Hulk Hogan and think of him in a losing match. But recent reports about his divorce from ex Linda Bollea suggest that he basically got knocked down and pinned to the floor by a woman less than half of his size.

Hogan, otherwise known as Terry, holds a place in the hearts of many Americans. His work and celebrity mean that he has accumulated a relatively significant amount in assets. As with many other celebrity divorces, this split came down to details involving property division and alimony.

Up until this week, the world was left wondering about the final settlements of what was an otherwise public, high-conflict divorce. The couple had been married for about 26 years, their life together with their two children documented by VH1 cameras during the years of their marriage.

What the reality show presented to the world, however, was contradicted by Linda's divorce filing. She later alleged that part of the reason for the divorce was that she had suffered domestic abuse at the hands of Terry. She published that allegation in a book and discussed her claims for TV.

More details have come out about the divorce, this time not from Linda but from a court document. There's a current challenge in the works between Linda and Terry regarding asset division related to Terry's business, and a court document about that dispute thoroughly revealed some of the once mysterious financial points of the high-profile divorce.

It looks as though Linda got out of the divorce on top, at least financially. She got to take 70 percent of the couple's assets in property division. She also got out of the divorce with a few valuable vehicles and entitled to a significant share of her ex's business earnings. According to sources, she has 40 percent ownership in Terry's business ventures. Those settlements, along with a few other points in her favor, mean, however, that Linda gets no alimony payments.

Exactly why finances were settled the way that they were in this case will probably never be answered. Every couple and individual of that couple has reasons for agreeing to certain terms. The ideal situation is for both parties to come out of the divorce process feeling satisfied. While it sounds like Linda won in this case, it's possible that Terry feels he won as well.
