Brooke Mueller, ex-wife of now notorious celebrity Charlie Sheen, seems to have bad luck when she is here in Colorado. She and Sheen previously had a domestic violence incident in Aspen, which sparked a legal battle and divorce between the pair, parents of two twin boys.

But the legal process over that assault incident is over and Mueller and Sheen are reportedly on good terms. Mueller ultimately wanted to drop the domestic abuse charges against Sheen. After a custody battle, they agreed to shared child custody. But will a recent Colorado arrest change Sheen's mind about the custody arrangement?

Mueller was visiting Colorado last weekend and wound up being arrested for assault and drug charges. A woman accused her of causing her harm, and when police found Mueller and searched her, they reportedly found cocaine in her possession. Reports indicate that it was a significant amount of cocaine that escalates the severity of the drug charge to intent to distribute.

Some might think that the arrest and criminal charges would encourage another parent to rethink how fit Mueller is to raise children. She has a history of drug and alcohol problems, but doesn't actually have any drug convictions in her past. She's reportedly tried rehabilitation, but those close to her suggest that an in-patient program is what she needs.

Sources claim that Sheen not only doesn't plan to fight for custody of the kids, but he actually paid to get Mueller out of jail so she could return home to their kids. He supposedly thinks that Mueller is a good mother whose problems would only worsen if her custodial rights were taken way.

Of course, if the criminal charges do land Mueller in jail, a new arrangement regarding where the kids will stay will have to be made. And though Sheen might think that Mueller is a fit parent, if she continues on a seemingly downward slope, outside authorities might step in to challenge what's in the best interest of the boys.
